If you haven't been out yet it's time to get out. With the weather being in the upper 70s and 80s the past several days the fishing has started coming on. The takes have been more violent and the fish are willing to chase. Each farm pond is essentially its own ecosystem but the few I have fished have started coming alive. A few weeks ago black patterns fished deep and slow were getting takes this past weekend I fished lighter patterns a little blue minnow that stays higher in the water and was getting some aggressive takes. I feel everyday is getting better. Get out and fish some of the local ponds, beat the moss, and get some practice in before the top of the water action starts.
