Landon and I were able to get out a bit on Sunday morning to check on the some of the local ponds. The fishing was just ok, we did mange to get a handful of bass and a couple blue gill. The pond we fished was about as clear as farm pond can get and most takes were visual, which makes it fun. In the morning the fish were hugging the banks and they moved out as the sun came up but only a few yards. The key was a slow strip and quick set they definitely weren't taking it like they do when the water is warm. There was maybe 5 aggressive takes all day, they're just not hot and pissed off like they will be in a month or 2. It's still a good time to get out and try to awake the sleeping giant. He just didn't awake for us.
