Did a little golf course pond fishing on Saturday. It's nice being related to a grounds keeper for a country club which has numerous stocked ponds. The fish see little pressure and are eager to chase. I put a good number of bass to hand using a Cheech Leech. By mid morning they had pushed up into the warmer water, right off the banks. Casting parallel to the banks and stripping low and slow was the key. A little twitch at the surface before going into a back cast brought several up and out of last year's weed beds, making for some nice visual takes. The ponds are warming up and so are the fish, so get out there and wet a line!
