I've tied on a Regal for quit awhile and recently upgraded to a Regal Revolution. The thing is sick! I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to trade out my Medallion for the Revolution but I'm glad I did. What draws me to the Regals is the engineering and craftsmanship, plain and simple they look good, easy to use and they're bomb proof. This is the big game head with the pocket base, the big head holds hooks from size 22-5/0 with zero adjustments squeeze the handle and place the hook. This head has you covered from trout to musky and everything in between. The jaws, themselves are the same throughout their line of vises. I don't necessarily use the rotatory function when tying in material but like it when I'm curing heads or sealing them with hard as nails. Yes they are a lot of cheaper options, the way I look at it I tie as much as I fish if not more and want something I enjoy tying on that's going to last. Regal vises come with a lifetime warranty for the original owner, I haven't had any problems with either of my vises and with the simplicity of moving parts I don't for see any either. If you're in the market for a new vise they're definitely worth a look, and K&K is now carrying them.
