Medina's Huevos de la Muertos (Eggs of Death)

Material List:

Hook: Eagle Claw Plain Shank All-Purpose Bait, Size 10

Thread: Black

Body: Peach egg yarn

Tier's Notes: When fishing this pattern, use it weightless. Just tie it on and target carp that are eating, or just swimming by. When throwing it to feeding fish, when the egg disappears, and slowly sinks keep the fly rod about six inches off the water and your body 45 degrees to the right or left of where the fly line is at. Keep the line tight, and watch for any line movement. The fly line will move anywhere for 1/4 to 2inches away from you, a quick set and carp on.

When fishing for cruising or negative carp. Throw it about a foot or two past the carp and quickly strip the egg of death, into view and with rod about six inches off the water and 45 degrees right /left, the take will be visual, They will turn off they're path and swim right up to the huevo de la muerte and extend their lips and inhale the fly.

Its a little different for the weighted flies one throws to feeding carp, but with practice, it's best fly I've ever tried. I've been fishing this fly for years. I even get grass carp to hit.
