This is one of my favorite warm water flies. It has a lot of movement, fun to tie, can be tied in a million colors, and catches fish. It's probably more of a bait fish than a minnow, but Maddy and minnow just sound better.

Clear Cure Goo dumbbell eyes

20 lb mono 5-6 inches with flash attached to one end

Weighted wire

Attach your thread and tie in the eyes.

Add several strands of crystal flash.

Add a clump of Craft fur.

Add a clump of Craft fur.

Invert and a clump of white Craft fur for the belly.

Tie in the crystal chenille and wrap down and back with weighted wire. Since these eyes are not weighted it helps getting the fly down.

Wrap the chenille forward to the eyes hiding your wire.

Tie in a clump of craft fur on top and bottom same as you did at the tail.

Tie in about a 5-6 inch piece of 20lb mono with flash tie to the end.

Add clumps of Senyo's laser dubbing in matching colors.

Add a small amount of different color dubbing on each side of the eye. I like using orange, pink, and red depending on the main color of the fly.

Finish out adding another clump of dubbing on each the top and bottom of the fly, in front of the eyes. Whip finish and glue.
